A classic streamer pattern believed to have been invented by Pennsylvania fly tyer Russell Blessing in the 1960s to resemble a dobsonfly nymph as a variation of a Woolly Worm.Imitates: Large dragonfly nymphs and leeches
METHOD
Stillwater - Use ultra-fast sink fly line, a braided fast-sink leader and a tippet of 3kg.Fish them deep and slow. Fish across and down and retrieve with a fast and jerky strip-in. Trout will also take these flies when simply left to rest on the bottom. On windy days, they fish well in the deep water found in the undertow of waves beating against a dam wall or static.
