The Olive Hopper is a versatile pattern that will sit temptingly, hanging in surface tension with legs dangling. It can also be fished wet, static or twitched.

METHOD
You will find your best hopper fishing on hot windy afternoons. Grasshoppers can swim by kicking their hind legs in unison, using the same method as they employ when jumping. This is simply mimicked by fishing the fly on the surface and retrieving it with short sharp pulls. Continue for about three feet and then let your fly drift for 20 seconds before recommencing the retrieve. This imitates the grasshopper having a rest.

Lead time on production can depend on availability of materials and work load. Lead time for your order will be confirmed by email.

Fly Patterns: Please note these are hand made items, so may vary slightly from the pictures on the website, due to natural variations in the materials used for our flies, variations in the dyeing process, and individual tying styles.
Orders: Fly tying is normally bespoke to the customer and if we do not have the flies in stock, we will tie to order. Once a bespoke order is submitted, we do request a 50% downpayment to start tying the flies and the balance on completion.
Returns: All of our products come with a no fuss guarantee. You are entitled to return your order at anytime within 7 days of receiving your goods. The cancellation period ends on the expiry of the period of 7 working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods. If you wish to return an order under these terms, first contact us and then return your products unopened within 7 days of receiving your parcel.

Refunds: If you are not satisfied with the goods and inform us within seven days of your receipt of the goods, you may return them and we will give a full refund. Or we will exchange items if they are faulty on delivery to you and we are notified within 10 days of the customers receipt of the product. All products to be returned must be carefully repackaged in their original packing.
We can not be held responsible for pricing errors due to software mal-functions, or human error. This website operates on an 'invitation to treat' basis and not as an 'offer for sale'. As a result, Flycatcher Kenya reserves the right to decline orders. All transactions will be carried out in Kenya Shillings. Once you have placed your order, confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address you have provided.
We normally keep limited stock of flies due to the diversity of the patterns. We may have to tie some of the patterns on order. Lead time to delivery is normally in about 2 weeks but this may take up to 4 weeks if the order is large.

The amount of time that it takes from the time you order to the time the flies reach the shipping address may depends on the following factors.
a) The pattern of the fly: some patternsare more complex and require longer times to tie
b) The quantity of the order: Our flies are hand-made and larger orders will take longer to fulfil.
c) Holidays: Public holidays and religious holidays occurring throughout the year might affect your order lead time.
