A Euro nymphing (Polish or Czech is the great debate) fly originally used in short-line and jig nymphing. A sort of variation on a Diawl Bach using a copper tungsten bead, brown or copper dubbing with a copper rib and a hot tail.
Imitates: Larval nymph
METHOD
Running water -This technique involves fishing upstream with a series of weighted flies that are directly attached to the leader. The angler casts the flies upstream, using their weight to load the rod slightly to help propel the flies. After they land, allow them to drift downstream as they sink, while maintaining contact with the flies. This is accomplished by keeping the line tight and following the drift of the flies with the rod tip. Keep the tip held high, with the indicator material just above the surface.
