A traditional wet fly pattern devised by James Ogden of Cheltenham, England and originally known as the Victor. Whilst originally regarded as a stillwater fly, it can be just as effective on rivers, esepcially after a hatch of larger sedge species
Imitates: Designed to imitate sedge hatches
METHOD
Stillwater - Usually fished on a slow-sink line with a slow retrieve. It can also be fished as a top dropper or bob fly. When sedges are hatching, it is best fished with a floating fly line and a slow retrieve just below the surface.
Running water -Cast upstream and across of typical splashy rises and dead drift just under the surface with a floating line.
Invicta - Green
