A traditional stillwater wet fly from the west of Ireland, popular since the 1950s in Kenya. Although it is intended as a lake fly, it does well in Africa in streams and rivers and also rated as an excellent after-dark fly.
Imitates: Dead flies, aquatic insects and emerging insects
METHOD
Stillwater - use a fast-sinking fly line and fish slow and deep.
Running water - across and down is the usual favoured method.
