Bloodworms are flies which imitate the larvae of non-biting midges, otherwise known as buzzers. They generally prefer water over 2 metres deep. They are important imitations on grey days with a wind across the water and no sign of fish activity at all.
Imitates: Bloodworm (nymph of non-biting midges - Chironomidae)
METHOD
Stillwater - Use a floating line and a long 4m leader. Allow the fly to sink to the bottom and twitch back slowly or a slow figure of eight.
